Tinkergarten in Southern Maryland
By Tinkergarten Leader, Marissa Birke
Tinkergarten classes provide an opportunity for children to explore and tinker outside. Tinkergarten’s skill-based curriculum promotes problem-solving skills, leadership, and creativity. Through play-based learning, children engage in memorable experiences in the most natural classroom of all, the outdoors. Tinkergarten is designed to bring children closer to both their peers and parents. Activities progressively build week after week, season after season.
More about Marissa – I grew up in Buffalo, New York, where I explored the outdoors through family camping trips and regular outside play. I am an Early Childhood Educator turned homeschooling-mama of three young kids. I love raising our children in Southern Maryland, and I can’t wait to share Tinkergarten’s unique curriculum with our community. Inspiring creativity, sparking imaginations, teaching and learning through play, and nature are some of my biggest passions! I can’t wait to kick off my first season on September 24, 2016!
